01 / Who is it for?

A busy day should still leave room for your wellbeing.

Late nights, long hours sitting or putting off bathroom breaks? Reviewing daily habits is a starting point for kidney-health awareness. Do you recognise any of the following habits?

01

Staying up late

Persistent sleep loss may affect blood pressure and metabolism, which matter for kidney health.

02

Long-term medication use

Some medicines can harm the liver or kidneys with prolonged, excessive or inappropriate use. Follow monitoring advice and do not stop prescriptions on your own.

03

Unbalanced eating habits

A high-salt diet can raise blood pressure. Excess added sugar can undermine weight and glucose control, indirectly increasing kidney risk.

04

Delaying bathroom breaks

Notice whether work or a busy schedule often makes you delay bathroom breaks.

05

Sexual habits

Adjust sexual activity if it causes fatigue or disrupts rest. Frequency alone does not establish kidney damage.

06

Excessive supplement use

Some supplements may harm the kidneys when overused or used inappropriately; risk depends on ingredients, dose and existing kidney function.

07

Irritability

Stress can stimulate cortisol release from the adrenal cortex. Persistent stress may affect blood pressure, metabolism and immune regulation.

08

Intense exercise

Extreme or unaccustomed exertion, especially with heat or dehydration, can trigger rhabdomyolysis and, in severe cases, acute kidney injury.

These prompts support reflection on daily habits. Some unhealthy habits may increase kidney-health risks over time; individual risks vary and this list cannot assess kidney function.

Three main kidney functions

Illustration of a kidney with its blood vessels and ureter
01

Filter & excrete

Glomeruli filter blood; tubules reabsorb and secrete substances. Waste leaves in urine.

02

Maintain internal balance

Regulate water, electrolytes and acid–base balance.

03

Hormonal regulation

Support blood-pressure regulation, red-cell production and bone health.

Five core roles of the kidneys

Remove metabolic waste

Remove urea and other wastes, including some drug metabolites.

Manage fluid

Retain needed water and remove excess fluid.

Support bone-marrow blood production

Release erythropoietin to stimulate red-cell production in bone marrow.

Help regulate blood pressure

Influence blood pressure through fluid balance and hormonal pathways.

Balance electrolytes

Regulate sodium, potassium and other minerals for nerve and muscle function.

The kidneys also help activate vitamin D and regulate calcium and phosphorus for bone health.

Kidney failure can affect multiple body systems

These are possible effects, not inevitable outcomes or a checklist for self-diagnosis.

02 / What care needs does it address?

What signs may occur with kidney problems?

Five signs to watch for: foamy urine, swelling, high blood pressure, anaemia and fatigue.

Foamy urine

Persistent foamy urine may be related to protein in the urine or other causes. A urine test is needed to check.

Swelling

Swollen ankles, legs or eyelids may reflect fluid retention. Skin that stays indented after pressure also deserves attention.

High blood pressure

High blood pressure can both damage the kidneys and result from kidney disease. Persistent or difficult-to-control readings need assessment.

Anaemia

Reduced kidney function may lower erythropoietin production, leading to anaemia with paleness, dizziness or weakness.

Fatigue

Persistent tiredness may relate to anaemia, waste buildup or sleep problems. Fatigue alone does not mean kidney disease.

Early kidney disease may have no obvious symptoms. These signs can have other causes and need assessment with blood and urine tests.

Product care focus

MK8 Kidney Cellular Nutrition Spray is an externally applied body spray. Brand materials describe natural trace-element compounds, no added alcohol or preservatives, and a water-treatment process called Quantum Molecular Band Processing Technology.

Understand the external-care format

Read the label and intended uses without equating an external spray with kidney treatment.

Review daily habits

Pay attention to regular sleep, suitable activity and scheduled health checks.

Organise health concerns

Use the kidney self-check to organise questions for a clinician. A questionnaire cannot measure kidney function.

MK8 / Community awareness film

MK8 community awareness film

《雨来 风依旧》 is a community awareness short film telling a moving story of resilience and hope.

Proudly presented by Dietchain (MK8), directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jess Teong (张爵西), and starring 陈立扬, 刘铨盛 and 陈凯旋, the film is inspired by the true story of Tony, an entrepreneur living with kidney disease. Through her compassionate visual storytelling, Jess Teong sensitively portrays his courage and determination in the face of adversity.

The rain symbolises life's trials, while the wind represents the protagonist's free and unrestrained spirit. Through every change in fortune, he keeps an open heart and moves forward with courage.

When storms arrive, he never loses his longing for light. When a gentle breeze passes, he embraces every possibility. Meeting life's ups and downs with a smile, he spreads hope and joy like dandelion seeds on the wind. This is both a true story of overcoming adversity and a journey of inner transformation and renewal.

On life's journey, we need not fear the storms: the wind remains, and he is a light that never fades. Through this short film, we hope to inspire greater awareness of health, appreciation of life and the courage to live with hope.

MK Q&A / MK8

Questions about MK8?

Product Q&A
  1. What is MK8?
    Answer:

MK8 is kidney care water containing 100% natural trace-element compounds, with no added chemical ingredients, alcohol or preservatives. MK8 is easily absorbed by the kidneys and provides kidney care. Through the use of quantum molecular band processing technology, the encapsulated trace elements are fully released into a free state that can be directly absorbed and used by cells.

  2. What ingredients does MK8 contain?
    Answer:

MK8 contains more than 20 trace-element compounds to strengthen kidney function.
The six main trace-element compounds in MK8 are:
Zinc compounds - promote wound healing, maintain cell membranes and promote cell regeneration.
Manganese compounds - strengthen kidney function.
Selenium compounds - prevent cell damage.
Potassium compounds - promote the normal functioning of all cells, tissues and organs.
Calcium compounds - help transport nutrients and other substances through cell membranes.
Cobalt compounds - promote the metabolism of every cell in the body.

  3. Who is MK8 intended for?
    Answer:

MK8 is mainly intended for four groups: kidney disease patients, seniors, office workers, and infants and adolescents.

  4. What are the main benefits of MK8?
    Answer:
    • Reduces the burden on the kidneys
    • Improves urine output and perspiration
    • Promotes kidney function and restores kidney cells
    • Regulates the human immune system
    • Suppresses urinary protein
    • Improves responsiveness and increases physical strength
  5. What healing (improvement) reactions may occur after one course of MK8?
    Answer:

Body aches and pain, increased perspiration, stronger steps, increased urine output, stronger urine odor, mental fatigue or increased energy.

  6. Do I need to avoid certain foods while using MK8?
    Answer:

Yes, dietary restrictions are recommended. In particular, people with poorer kidney function and dialysis patients need to avoid the following foods: all mushrooms, seafood, all alcoholic beverages, peanuts, caffeinated drinks, and all beans (for example: soybeans).

  7. What signs may appear in people with mildly poor kidney function?
    Answer:

They often feel weak, have no appetite, react slowly, are forgetful, have unstable emotions, are stubborn, lose their temper easily, and often forget what they were going to say halfway through speaking.

  8. At what age is it appropriate to start using MK8?
    Answer:

Unlike the heart or stomach, the kidneys do not show pain when they are unwell. They quietly play the role of a “cleaner.” For this reason, the damage they suffer is also silent. By the time symptoms appear and a diagnosis is made, kidney function may already have been reduced by half. Therefore, the concept of kidney care needs to be taught from childhood, and it is recommended to begin using MK8 during adolescence. This is a stage of physical development, and a good kidney environment is healthier and more positive for an adolescent’s future physical and mental development.
